National Suicide Prevention Week is September 9 – 15th, 2012 and is the week of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th, 2012. Take 5 To Save Lives (http://www.take5tosavelives.org/): A joint project of the National Council for Suicide Prevention and other national organizations, Take 5 To Save Lives invites people to take five minutes to get involved and informed about suicide prevention.
American Association of Suicidology (http://www.suicidology.org/): The AAS website features a number of webinars on suicide prevention being held in conjunction with National Suicide Prevention Week and the FirstLink 12th Annual “Walk of Hope”.
WellCommon’s Trauma Recovery Page (http://wellcommons.com/groups/trauma/2012/sep/3/everyone-can-help-prevent-suicide-by-kno/): In honor of National Suicide Prevention Week the site offers some tips and insights into Suicide Prevention as well as a list of suicide prevention and recovery resources. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline receives 10 and 15 calls a day related to suicide.
