A Sick Mind Was Here

Have you ever wondered what makes some people tick? I mean if you look at this picture taken at a playground in Maryland you will be shaking your head. Does a person wake up drink a cup of coffee and plan their day around this? Can you imagine?

“I think today I will go up to the kid’s playground at the park over here by my house and see if I can find a kid to murder.” Is that how it’s done? Do they think it through and plan it or are their minds just on SICK mode all the time.

“A serial killer is a person who murders two or more people, in two or more separate events over a period of time, for primarily psychological reasons. There are gaps of time between the killings, which may range from a few hours to many years. In many cases, the exact number of victims assigned to a serial killer is not known, and even if that person is convicted of a few, there can be the possibility that he/she killed many more.”

Isn’t it disturbing to think there are people walking around who might be thinking like that? Do they live in houses just like we do? Drive cars, buy groceries, work amongst us? Who are these people that do these things and where do they come from?

Obviously the little child had no idea what the day would hold for him. Perhaps he wandered off from home without permission. Why he was here alone is a question we don’t know the answer to. How he managed to cross paths with a psychopathic killer is not only shocking its horrific. I just can’t put my mind around this no matter how I try to figure it out.

Consider the case of Dean Coril from the good ole USA – 28 proven victims (it is a known fact that serial killers usually have more victims unaccounted for)

Known As “The Candy Man

Because of his habit of handing out free candy to children at the school near his family’s candy company. He abducted teenage boys from low income areas in Houston with two accomplices in a van where he raped and tortured them. He was shot and killed by one of his teenage accomplices after he tried to kill him following a dispute at one of Corll’s parties”
Any crime against any person at any time is wrong. Crimes against innocent children is horrific and unimaginable. Pediophiles, sexual predators, molestors, rapists, are out there and we have an obligation to protect our children from them as much as possible.

Be aware. If you feel uncomfortable with the amounts of attention a stranger or acquaintance is paying to your child, make a note to watch them closely. Often the pedophile or predator is someone the family knows. They lure the children just as the “Candy Man” did often with gifts and promises. Laws are in force now that sexual predators that are living in our neighborhoods are publicly identified.

Check out this website provided by the U.S. Dept of Justice. There are sexual offenders registries now that will point out if someone lives in your neighborhood that has been convicted of a sexual crime.

Make sure to talk to your children, keep a close watch on them and protect them as much as possible.
