Suicide Cleanup in Atlanta, GA

57 year old John D. was in huge financial trouble.

He had quit his six figure a year job on a whim according to friends who lived next door.  He had a falling out with his boss and walked out. That was a couple of months ago.  He also lost a lot of money gambling and had a drug problem.

The debt had mounted up to the point where John D. filed bankruptcy.  His wife left him just a couple of weeks ago.  The day he filed bankruptcy his wife filed for divorce. Two days later the pressure got to be too much and he shot himself.

Suicide is a very difficult for anyone to deal with.  His wife has apparently been overwhelmed by all of the events of the past few weeks. We heard she was really having a hard time coping with her husband’s death regardless of filing for divorce.

We know that suicide leaves a lot of unanswered questions for family and friends to deal with.  Often they are feeling guilty about not preventing the suicide.

Not only is suicide very hard to understand the scene as in the one above is often very difficult to witness.  Families should never have to face cleaning up such a terrible sight.  The trauma and emotional devastation is enough to deal with.

The scene of a suicide will not only be visually and emotionally disturbing but it also has inherent dangers that most people do not think about. There are many fluids and biohazards that you can not see with the naked eye.

The biohazards and pathogens can spread germs and  is unsanitary.  ABT cleanup technicians will work very hard to thoroughly remove the blood and body fluids as well as decontaminate and remove any odors that may linger.  Our goal is to quickly restore the property to its original condition before the tragedy.

Our professional suicide and crime scene cleaning technicians are chosen for their empathy and attention to detail, and they will work as quickly as possible to remove all blood, tissue, bodily fluids, and odors from the affected area.

Advanced Bio Treatment offers a Suicide Support Resources with suicide cleanup guidance or advice. Baltimore Decision Gone Wrong

The horrific scene above is only a part of what we found in the Baltimore apartment.

Jill D. was frequently out of town for her work which meant she would have to leave her four year old son with a caretaker occasionally.

Jill D. had been dating a man for about six months who seemed to really like her son.  She started letting him sleep over and get to know her son.

Her trust was misplaced, obviously.  She left her son in his care for two days while she traveled to Atlanta for business.

She returned to find her son had been beaten to death and left alone in the apartment.  Her boyfriend was nowhere to be found.  He had apparently lost his temper or something where the situation escalated out of control.

Her son was only four years old and had no chance to survive against this monster.

Police and FBI are searching for the missing boyfriend.

Our hearts are broken over this and other similar situations, just when you think that it couldn’t get any worse we see something like this.

Jill D. has enough emotional turmoil, shock and dismay to even begin to know what to do next.  The last problem she needs is to worry about cleanup, and even when the place is returned to its normal state her life will never be the same.  She is talking about relocating.

Blood cleanup must be done by professionally trained blood cleanup personnel in order to protect current and future inhabitants of a property as well as to ensure the safety of those cleaning blood scenes.

Blood cleanup involves the removal and cleaning or disposal of items that have been contaminated with body fluids, blood, or tissue matter, but does not stop there.

Those trained in blood cleaning are adept at tracking down and remediating areas that have been contaminated – areas that the untrained eye would not see. When a firearm is used, there is often as much biohazardous material that you cannot see as there is that is visible. For the safety of a blood cleanup technician, and of future inhabitants, it is most important that this biohazardous material be decontaminated as well.

Suicide in San Francisco Leaves Behind Widow

One thing I’ve discovered, however, is that when you do what we do for a living, you see things that you would never have believed otherwise.

A fairly recent case we undertook involved the cleanup of a home in a nice, middle class neighborhood just outside of San Francisco, CA. The caller was a family member who was representing a young widow who had the unfortunate need of our services in the wake of her husband’s suicide.

Once inside the home we were led down to the kitchen where we were given a brief explanation to what had caused the father of two to blow his brains all over. Apparently the victim had been having a rough time adjusting to back to having a normal life having been recently released from prison after 15 years. Despite months of counseling and intense rehabilitation, the husband and father had descended into a deep depression which led to drug and alcohol abuse.

Sometimes its the smallest straw that breaks the camel’s back…

After becoming frustrated by his inability to properly built a piece of furniture for his wife, he took his .38 special put the gun in his mouth and ended his life…

The cleanup proved to be very simple: the flooring was tile and easily sanitized and the walls were quickly scrubbed and decontaminated so that no evidence of the aftermath of bullet meeting skull remained behind to remind those heartbroken family members of the tragic end to their brave soldiers tormented life.

You don’t want to try and attempt to clean up a scene like this. Blood and other bodily fluids can contain dangerous pathogens which pose a significant risk to human health. Our scene cleanup technicians will decontaminate and remove any blood, tissue or bodily fluids left behind.

If you need trauma or accidental death cleanup guidance, have questions about your payment options or current insurance policy don’t hesitate to give the EPA and OHSA certified biohazard specialists at Advanced Bio Treatment a call!
