A husband and wife decided it was time the wife learned how to use a gun. The couple had just recently found out that the husband was going to be going away for a few months and they both wanted to know that the wife would be safe and secure alone in their home.
They shared two young children together. Apparently the wife had no clue how to handle a gun because at the end of this lesson the husband was accidentally killed by his own wife. Believe it or not this type of scenario happens often and it can be extremely traumatizing for all parties involved. The wife is the one who made the call to us. She was very hesitant and distraught about the entire process itself. When we arrived to her home we met with the wife. She took us to where the accident took place.
It appeared to be in the master bedroom they shared. You could immediately see the red blood stains on the walls and ceilings. She had mentioned to us that she was holding the gun pointing to the window practicing her aim when the gun went off and shot her husband in the side of the abdomen. He bled to death before the paramedics could arrive.
The carpet was completely stained with blood. You can clearly see you bled out and this was the most blood we had seen in a long time. The wife was still extremely distraught and what appeared to be agitated. We calmed her and just reassured her that we would get the room back to normal.
We removed all the carpets in the room and completely disinfected the room from top to bottom. Once some construction contractors laid down new carpeting, it was brand new all over again.
