It was a normal rainy day in Atlanta, Georgia when we received a call to our local office.
It was a man who needed us to clean up an accidental death that occurred in his garage. He owned a fairly large newly built home in the suburbs of Atlanta and was renting out his garage to a young college student who became a victim of an accidental death the evening before.
There are over 125,000 accidental deaths caused by an injury each year in the United States. It happens more than you would think. In this particular case the young college student was only minding his business when a drunk driver crashed through the garage door killing him in a bloody disaster. The driver fled the scene and was never caught.
The owner of the home heard the loud noises and went to discover what possibly could have been the reason behind that. He opened the garage to find the poor guy lying on the ground and appeared to be deceased.
The scene was pretty brutal and the owner explained that the garage door was completely off the hinges and was lying on top of the deceased guy. There was an enormous amount of blood all over the garage door and on the bed he was lying on before the accident occurred.
It was a terrifying sight to see but we are glad the owner of the home called all the necessary professionals in such a horrific event.
When we arrived to the home and met up with the owner we could already see all the damage done to the garage and just how serious the scene was. It’s extremely unfortunate such events occur this way and there isn’t anything that can be done to prevent it. ABT understands that and we want to help pick up the pieces caused by such tragedies.
There was blood all over the entire garage! We disinfected and deodorized every surface of the garage and when we were completed it looked good as new. The owner of the home was highly satisfied with the outcome.
