Not The Day To Be Alone
This happened in a private garage at a resort community on the beach in a southern resort town. For the purpose of this blog I don’t want to reveal the name of the establishment that would in any way reflect on them. Most condos like this are individually owned and managed by the resort owner management team.
Most of these high rise condos have hidden cameras in the parking and private garages and the stairwells which are safe, for the most part.
The blood soaked concrete stain is something that is very difficult to remove permanently. The blood stains soak in deep, a permanent reminder of the unfortunate events unless we get it totally clean. The inside of the door and the wooden floor are a little easier to clean (pictured below). The floor gets ripped up and the walls and door are cleaned, disinfected and repainted.
Jane D. was on vacation with her cousins. It appeared everyone was enjoying themselves immensely; the condo was immaculate and the decor a taste of the tropics, yet a bit elegant.
The cousins had toured all the wineries in the area, all the hot spots for tourists, done shopping, sunbathing and enjoyed the jacuzzi.
Jane D., was a bit of a “loner” according to her cousins. She kept wanting to go shopping alone and meet up later. She always had something else to do that kept her just a little apart from the group. She apparently had always been that type of personality so her cousins really didn’t get upset at her. They rolled with it.
It wasn’t a big surprise that she was running late when the rest of them were ready to go out or if she drove separately when going out to eat.
This would prove to be the difference that kept the cousins alive. Jane D. was not so fortunate.
She Was Followed On Vacation But No One Knows How Long
They know someone was in the parking garage and then the elevator when Jane was. The assault, attempted robbery and stabbing took place just outside the condo door. The rest of the group had gone on to dinner without Jane.
Jane D carried an undetermined amount of cash, credit cards and keys, all of which were taken in the robbery. Her face was bruised and the stab wounds were multiple.
