Crime Scene Cleanup Work Has Become a Necessary Job
I met up with Jerry Turner and ABT about two years ago when I was in the process of moving to Florida from New Jersey. That was a big change in itself as was the change in the type of work I was doing. I went from being an EMT in a big city which was also a fast paced stress filled job to working as a Crime Scene cleanup technician.
We deal with a lot of the same situations but I come in now after the situation not during as I used to.
The hardest part of this job isn’t the presence of blood its knowing how the people suffered and how they so many times were wrongfully killed. Both jobs are full of sorrow and trauma.
This latest job we did we were cleaning up a double homicide. These two girls had been bullied and were likely the victims of a hate crime. I only have some details about the bullying. The majority of the bullying was online via social media sites like Facebook. Horrible things were said about the girls.
These two had a long history of problems, drug addiction, shoplifting charges, etc., and they became involved romantically with each other in the middle of it all.
While this a hot political topic and gay marriage is now legal in several states, this little Alabama community wasn’t at all ready or willing to accept these two girls. I call them girls they appeared to be in the late 20’s. One was black and the other caucasian and that had not gone over well here either
Part of me just wanted to scream “what were you thinking?” to those bag covered bodies, wouldn’t have done any good and besides what could they have done except moved away or lived in secret.
Regardless of a person’s political opinion on the topic it is wrong to bully, victimize, hate and kill people over it.
There Was A Time When This Line Of Work Was Unheard Of
Homicide cleanup must be done by professionally trained homicide cleanup personnel in order to protect current and future inhabitants of a property, as well as to ensure the safety of those cleaning homicide scenes. Advanced Bio Treatment is a professional crime scene cleanup company and can return your home or vehicle, business, or industrial site to its original clean state.
The cleanup of a murder scene involves the removal and cleaning or disposal of items that have been contaminated with biohazardous materials such as body fluids, blood, or tissue matter, but does not stop there. Those trained in homicide cleaning are adept at tracking down and remediating areas that have been contaminated – areas that the untrained eye would not see. When a firearm is used, there is often as much material that you cannot see as there is that is visible. For the safety of a homicide cleanup technician, and of future inhabitants, it is most important that this material be decontaminated as well.
Advanced Bio Treatment is the homicide cleanup company that protects you and your family by doing the job with well-trained discreet employees. If you are a family friend or relative of someone needing homicide cleanup, we can work with you as an agent so the family is saved the hardship. If you will not be at the murder scene to shield your loved ones, we will gladly handle that for you as much as possible by handling the paperwork by fax if you prefer.
