This Charlotte, North Carolina Man was Found After Ten Days

He was found alone in his bed.  His roommate was on a business trip and had returned after being out of the country for two weeks.

Apparently the 49 year old had suffered from gastrointestinal problems for years but had not been aware how serious his condition was.

He died of a bowel explosion, which most of us have never heard of or dealt with but does happen. This is a horrible death and very painful.

Unattended deaths are some of the saddest stories we come across.  Advanced Bio-Treatment comes prepared to clean, decontaminate, disinfect, deodorize, and return the home to its original state of cleanliness.

Unattended Death Can Be A Hazardous Situation

Most often it can contain blood, tissue, bodily fluids, urine, and feces all in a state of decomposition.  This can pose an extreme risk for untrained individuals as they can be exposed to infectious diseases. A single drop of decomposing bodily fluid can contain germs, bacteria, and active disease that will remain viable and dangerous for long periods of time.  These dangers can seep into and be absorbed by cloth, carpet, wood, flooring, sub flooring, in between walls, and ceilings carrying their pathogens with them.  In addition to the risk an untrained person undertakes when dealing with an unattended death, OSHA and the EPA have strict regulations on the collection and disposal to these types of hazardous material.  Not only does Advanced Bio Treatment have professionally trained technicians with specialized equipment to handle the scene of an unattended death, but we also handle the entire disposal for you.

To ensure proper decontamination of the scene, an experienced scene clean up service should be employed. Human feces, urine, and blood cleanup pose a significant risk to human health. Advanced Bio Treatment is well trained in EPA and OSHA regulations for biohazard cleaning.
