Advanced Bio Treatment always suggest that after the call to 911, after the police and coroner have left, that the family or loved ones of the deceased place their next call to us.

We have the expertise and equipment to completely restore and decontaminate any scene where a bio-hazard incident had occurred. We work closely with police and emergency personnel, who often recommend our services to families or property owners who may otherwise not know that a company like ABT, specializing in crime scene cleanup, even exists.

Such was the case with the homeowner who contacted my company one hot and muggy day in middle of September. Apparently the tenant who rented out my clients house, located just outside of the city limits near San Francisco, had met a gruesome end to his life. We were needed to cleanup the property to a rentable condition.

As we pulled up in front of the small home, we were met by a police officer who was removing the yellow crime scene tape from the perimeter of the property. Recognizing the man from previous jobs we had performed in the area, I took a moment to inquire to the specifics of the homicide which had occurred inside. John Doe had been a young man who worked on the fringes of society, selling a variety of illegal substances to the young college crowd that lived around the city.

Business had not been going very well lately, however, and John D. developed a reputation for selling bad stuff. Obviously not good thing in his profession. The night before we had been called to the scene, John had chosen to rip off the wrong man and wouldn’t live long enough to regret it after the dealer he cheated, pushed into his home, then the attacker struck the swindler repeatedly in the head with an aluminum baseball bat and didn’t stop swinging.

Standing in the doorway to the victim’s kitchen, I couldn’t believe the violence of the attack. Blood was literally everywhere: on the ceilings, doors, walls, floors… everything was splattered with blood and brain matter.

It was a massive job… The entire home had to be cleaned, sanitized, and decontaminated all the way down to the drywall and sub flooring. Jobs like this one really highlight why it is so vital to hire a company like ABT. We are trained professionals who have the equipment and knowledge to handle any incident involving biohazardous material. Blood, urine, feces and other bodily fluids contain pathogens which can be dangerous. Combine that with strong chemical cleaning agents and these scenes can pose a significant health risk suited for experts like ABT who are certified by the EPA and OSHA.

We will handle everything from removing furniture to working with your insurance company. No family member or loved one should have to face cleaning up after an accident or tragedy… It can be daunting not to mention disturbing to the untrained mind. We will do our best to make it just a distant memory.

Two days later, we were handing the keys back over to a beaming homeowner. He couldn’t believe the transformation, and frankly, neither could I. But with hard work and know how, we were able to remove any trace of the terrible tragedy that had taken place in the home.

You don’t want to try and attempt to clean up a crime scene or accident scene. Blood and other bodily fluids can contain dangerous pathogens which pose a significant risk to human health. Our scene cleanup technicians will decontaminate and remove any blood, tissue or bodily fluids a crime and trauma scene has left behind. Advanced Bio Treatment is a professional scene cleaning company.
