Infectious Disease = Party Crasher

Infectious Disease Cleanup Services: It takes brave parents to host a slumber party, but Abigail and Trevor were in for more than a sleepless night when they promised their daughter that she could have 8 friends spend the night on her 8th birthday. It started out as a joke when their youngest daughter, Poppy, was about to turn 6 and wanted to camp out in the backyard with her kindergarten class for her birthday. Her parents and older sister had her convinced that kids didn’t have big slumber parties until their 8th birthday when kids didn’t wet their beds anymore, so they told her.

By her eighth birthday, Poppy was now a big sister to her newborn little brother, and things were busier than ever at home. Making this party as hassle-free as possible was important, and so it worked out well that Poppy’s older sister was cheering at her first high school football game that evening. The whole party would go to the game to watch her cheer and have a fun dinner of grilled burgers and fries before the camp-out celebration at home.

The children were ecstatic upon arriving back to Poppy’s house with a backyard full of tents and a campfire ready to light. Everyone changed into their pj’s and gathered around the fire for singing silly songs and making s’mores. But it didn’t take scary stories to settle the kids down; food poisoning would be the culprit tonight.

Salmonella Enterica & Escherichia Coli Attack!

A few of the girls began complaining of stomach aches as the fire began to die down, but Abigail chalked it up homesickness. She had the girls come inside and watch a movie, but one by one the girls came in with tummy aches. Abigail and Trevor didn’t yet suspect a real problem and ended up with all 9 girls on the couches in their living room watching movies until they fell asleep.

It wasn’t until we woke up to the sounds of moaning and what sounded like water spilling on the floor that we knew homesickness hadn’t been it at all!

One of the children had already vomited all over their living room when they ran in to see what was happening, so they rushed her off to the bathroom and called her family. But one by one, the other girls began throwing up. Unfortunately, the vomiting progressed to include uncontrolled diarrhea before any of the parents had arrived to pick up their children at 3:30 that morning.

It was like a scene from a horror movie, or maybe an over-the-top comedy. There was literally poop and vomit everywhere. On our floors, down our hallway, in the kitchen sink. I am serious when I tell you that I cried and laughed at the same time.

Halo Disinfection System to the Rescue

Abigail and Trevor stared at their home in disbelief; it was obvious that they’d never get their home free of whatever bacteria or infectious pathogen that caused this illness without professional help.

Thoughts of their still-sleeping newborn drove Abigail to call Advanced Bio Treatment around 5:00 AM. We told her to rest assured that a technician was on his way and that he was professionally trained and practiced in human waste cleaning services, including human feces clean up, and was well equipped to eliminate salmonella enterica and Escherichia coli. Both of which are types of bacteria that, can cause food poisoning.

The technicians arrived quickly, cleaned up everything, and then used this new Halo Disinfection System that sprayed an almost invisible mist. It disinfected our home all the way into tiny crevices, places I’d worry that would harbor some scary bacteria.

Abigail and Trevor were relieved that the Halo Disinfection System, a form of the hydrogen peroxide room fogger, that uses a gaseous form of hydrogen peroxide and silver nitrate to destroy virtually all viruses and dangerous bacteria, was available through Advanced Bio Treatment. They had peace of mind and their concerns about:

  • h1n1 flu

  • pseudomonas aeruginosa

  • enterobacter aerogenes

-were then erased.

Believe it or not, a do-over slumber party is on the calendar; Abigail and Trevor can handle anything after that fiasco, they laugh:

but only with Advanced Bio Treatment on speed-dial!
