I got the call the day after Xmas, we were needed right away for a massive cleanup in Atlanta, GA.
Apparently, this was one of the biggest Xmas parties ever. There were boxes from video games, computers, IPads. There was gift wrap all over the front and back yard, on the front porch of the house, in the living room, all over the floor, all over the house.
Tinsel and bows and ribbons everywhere. Lots of glasses and champagne bottles! Lots of two liter bottles and beer cans!
On the roof were these footprints, and little black drops. Someone said they saw the reindeer and the sleigh!
Well, not really but we at ABT sure do know there can be a big mess left after a holiday and holiday party.

Speaking of hoarding, here are a few after holiday tips to keep your house from becoming a cluttered hoarder’s dreamhouse!
If you don’t have shelves in your basement or garage its time to put some in. This makes an excellent place to store your holiday items. Take down your holiday wreath and wrap in plastic and store on shelves. Do this with your ornaments, trinkets, ceramics, etc.
- Mark the boxes so you will know what is inside of each.
- Clear plastic bins make great storage for extra wrapping paper, linens, tablecloths, napkins, etc.
- You can wrap garlands around cardboard tubes to keep them untangled. The same concept can be used for storing lights.
- Store your bing sheets, cookie cutters etc., in back of one of your lower kitchen cupboards.
- Holiday china, specialty dishes, etc., can be stored in labeled boxes as well.
If you live in an apartment or other smaller living quarters you might want to look at all of your possibilities such as storage under beds and top shelves of closets. Storage bags can be used to store clothing that is out of season.
Keep it simple and organized and next year decorating should be stress free.
