Did you know that it’s estimated that 400 people die each year due to electrocution?
It happens. Everyday household items are the cause unfortunately. Better safe than sorry to call an electrician to handle those jobs instead of you thinking you know what you’re doing. It happened to a woman in Atlanta while her husband was out of town on business. No one was there to neither help her nor save her. He didn’t actually find her for five days later. He was distraught and confused as to why she wasn’t calling him back for those five days.
When we received the call from the husband he was explaining the situation and what had happened to her. She was left unattended for five days in her bathroom. Apparently she was attempting to fix a new light fixture in their bathroom to surprise her husband when he got home. She should’ve just called an electrician because she forgot to turn off the breaker before going up there with tools. She was electrocuted and died in her bathroom floor.
He also explained to us when he got home he could smell a strong odor and then had found her in the bathroom. She had already started to decompose and the bodily fluids were already seeping on the floor around her. It was disgusting and the smell was just awful. The police and coroner were contacted first before us and they handled what they needed to before we got involved.
We arrived at the home to meet the husband and he was very emotional of course and we reassured him that we would take care of the scene professionally and get his life back in order. We understand such a tragic loss can cause a lot of chaos around you and we want to help get it back to normal as quickly as possible.
We looked at the bathroom and we could see the bodily fluids on the floor and what appeared to be burned skin and hair. We removed all traces of any death that had occurred. We perform all tasks with professional equipment and disinfecting cleaners. We made the bathroom looks good as new.
