Mondays usually are busy for us.
We received a call from a man who wanted us to come and cleanup a homicide that took place at his restaurant in Charlotte. He gave us a little bit of information of what exactly happened. He explained to us that there was a fight between two women which led to a murder. Apparently these women had been friends for years and one was accusing the other of infidelity in her marriage. He mentioned to us that the police said the friends were fighting mostly when one woman found out her husband had cheated on her with her friend. They tried to work past their differences but they never could put it behind them. This is why one of these “friends” ended up dead on what was supposed to be a nice night out on the town.
We met up with the owner of the restaurant to see exactly what we were working with. When we arrived on the scene he met us outside and seemed anxious to get this over with. He mentioned that he had been out of business for a few days over this matter and had already started to lose money so he was ready for this to be over. Even though it’s not his family he is grieving his business is suffering. He prompted us to where the murder took place. He explained how he saw the girls start fighting and hitting on another and throwing plates and glasses. It was a very vicious fight. He then explained how he saw one of the girls pick up a steak knife and started stabbing her. It was really late and he had already started closing the restaurant so they were the only ones left. She stabbed her over twenty times until she collapsed and stopped breathing. EMS arrived but could not revive her unfortunately.
We saw all the blood covering the tile floor and the chairs and table. It was a huge blood bath in there. You could literally feel the tension in the air.
These women were furious with one another. Some people just don’t know how to control their emotions. The restaurant itself was fairly small. You could see the back of the restaurant from the front door. The blood was sitting there for at least four days from what we could tell. We made sure to bring our disinfecting cleaners. We just wanted to make sure the man had his restaurant up and running again very soon. We cleaned all the blood that was dried on the tiles and tables. The chairs had to be disposed of. The blood had soaked into the cushions. Overall it was pretty disgusting just knowing that two friends had gone to such an as to murder one another over a scandal.
